Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA)

Rubbing alcohol, like 70% IPA, should only be used as a last resort if cold methods don't work:

  1. Apply IPA sparingly to problem areas.
  2. Gently work these areas with a sponge or soft toothbrush.
  3. Rinse immediately with cold water (avoid warm water at this stage).
  4. Rinse again until the IPA is completely removed.

Isopropyl alcohol is a solvent. Leaving residual IPA traces is therefore unacceptable in solventless labs. Only use IPA when strictly necessary. Never soak bubble hash bags in IPA.

Olive Oil

Olive oil is useful for loosening resin buildup. Apply a small amount of oil onto sticky areas of the screen. Rub it gently into the mesh before letting it sit for a few minutes. Wash thoroughly with warm water to remove all residue and oil. Repeat until no residue remains.
